Dr. Ritu Sharma’s extensive medical training enables her to provide quality, compassionate medical care for your entire family. Dr. Sharma enjoys educating her patients, as well as sharing tips on how to prevent common illnesses. Double board-certified in internal medicine and pediatrics, Dr. Sharma believes that listening to patients and performing a thorough exam prepares her to provide the best care possible.
A graduate of The College of New Jersey in Ewing, New Jersey, Dr. Sharma went on to medical school at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in Newark. She served her residency at the University Hospital, also in Newark, and later served as the Chairperson for the Department of Pediatrics at Chilton Medical Center in Pompton Plains, New Jersey.
Dr. Sharma has received numerous accolades, including the Golden Apple Award from the Class of 2009 New Jersey Medical School, the Excellence in Teaching Award in 2009, and the Physicians We Admire Award from the nursing staff at Chilton Medical Center in 2012. She speaks Hindi and Spanish. Dr. Sharma welcomes residents living in and around Jersey City, New Jersey, to DRS Medical Associates.
